The link between video and improved user engagement

In our previous articles we have touched on the importance of video content, but did you know it is believed that placing a video on your website’s landing page can increase user engagement by up to 80%. Sure, increased engagement can’t guarantee conversion into sales, but it can only help towards this.

We live in a world where consumers want everything at their fingertips, as such the best thing any company can do is undertake a website evaluation from the customer’s perspective. When reviewing your website, can you:-

1.       Find the product quickly

2.       Easily navigate the site

3.       Understand the product without having to read pages of information

If you struggle to answer any of the above, it is time for a website make-over. It may even be beneficial to get someone else undertake the evaluation on your behalf for impartial results.

Modern-day consumers want information at their fingertips, if you can include a 30 second ‘how-to’ video in place of written instructions; do so! The easier you can make it for someone to review the product and understand why they need it or how they need it, the quicker you will be able to convert prospects into an active customer base.
