Netflix and Spielberg mashup

As always Netflix is hot news, the live streaming provider is often making headlines due to its popularity and reputation for producing amazing original series. It’s no surprise the company is making news again following a reported collaboration with Stephen Spielberg. While full details haven't been divulged, it is understood that the streaming service have entered into a lucrative deal with Spielberg’s company to produce several films per year.

Many believe the collaboration shows a permanent shift in the film industry. Hollywood has previously turned its nose up at home streaming in favour of the box office but the pandemic put a halt to box office operations. As sad it is to say, whilst the box office will still be around, they will have certainly lost some of their loyal customers to the comfort of their own homes, PJs and a film in comfort.

It has been 14 years since the launch of Netflix and there is no doubt they have had a strong impact on the world of home entertainment. Over recent years Netflix have moved into the world of production, funding their own popular shows and now they are ready to slay the world of movies.
